'everything happens for a reason'

Have you ever wondered why things happen the way that they happen? I mean yes, everyone says that "everything happens for a reason", but have you ever taken the time to think about WHY and WHAT the reasons are for things happening?

This is something that I think about all the time. Especially with the point that I am at in my life right now.. which I will say is not the highest point that I have ever been at.

Sometimes it just takes everything in me to remember that "everything happens for a reason" and that hopefully my reasons are for a greater purpose that will suit me much better than anything that I really 'think' suits me at the moment.

I've learned a few valuable lessons in my journey through life so far.

Lesson 1:

Life is NOT fair. At all. So get used to it. [kind of harsh.. but it's what I always tell myself]

Lesson 2:

No matter how good you may think you have it.. happiness is going to end at some point until you find 'true' happiness.

There have been a number of times that I have thought that I have found 'true' happiness.. but it just never really works out for me for very long.

So when does it end? When do the bad things quit happening? I really wish I knew the answer to this question. Sometimes I think that only so much could possibly go wrong to hurt a single person or just make things hard on them, but yet the bad things just keep on coming.

This post is in no way saying that I hate my life or dislike it or anything. Just a couple of my thoughts through the struggles that I have been enduring within my life recently.

I really hope that I find my 'true' happiness and that I find my reasons for everything happening pretty soon..

Theee not so epic [but still satisfying] weekend.

Well.. I told everyone I would try to REALLY keep up this time. It's not easy when you have a college life though. There is always so much going on! Anyways.. this weekend was pretty good. Although, I really think that I am just super ready to go home. = / Wierd? YES! I would understand if you thought that, because most people know home is usually not my favorite place. So.. I've decided that I will be going home next weekend for the first time since Christmas break! [that is truly the longest I have ever been away from home before]

So I guess I will finish this post off by telling everyone about my weekend;

THURSDAY:

[in college your weekends usually do start on a thursday]

Thursday was kind of a hard day for me for some reason.. I am not having the best time lately, but it really pays to have friends that actually care about you somewhere, and I definitely have that here. Which I am very very grateful for! Adrianne and I went to wal-mart with the boys [Erik, Ed, & Chris]

The funny thing about this photo is how squished we were in Ed's car. The boys told Adrianne and I that "there was NO way we were going to fit" & we just kept telling them we definitely would. & what would you know.. we did. So we of course had to take a picture of us all squished in Ed's little car. : )

Anyway.. that night I wanted to get my nails painted, but i hate painting them myself. So.. I asked Erik to do it for me and being the great friend he is.. [to make me feel better].. he did!

I really am not supposed to be putting this picture anywhere, because he would kill me, but it's okay! ; ) What are friends for, right?

FRIDAY:

A lot of my friends went home or went to Denver or FoCo just for Friday.. kind of wierd. So, really there wasn't much going on. However, Adrianne and I pretty much spent the whole weekend together. On this day I got to meet some of her friends from Dubois and she got to meet some of my old Evanston friends. It was a pretty good time.. but nothing really special.

[This is Adrianne.. aka.. my roomie for next year] We will be living in an apartment together! Jaymie was supposed to be living with us, but she is going to fly solo. [that is just a little side note for everyone to know!]

SATURDAY:

This, I would have to say, was the best day of the weekend. All of my friends came back. We had a great time at the basketball game against BYU..[don't even ask about winning because you all already know]

But my whole group of friends pretty much decided that we just needed to have a relaxing and fun night just with a small group of friends. So that is exactly what we did! : ) After the game we hit up Qudoba! Which is like the best mexican place around here. We LOOOOOOOOVE it! Then we made a quick stop at the dollar store and bought more candy than any of us ever need for cheap! [it's the best way to do it!] & then we went to Ed's house to have a movie night!

So this is what my weekend consisted of.. it was nothing too great, but I guess you could say I was satisfied! Good enough to write about on here, eh!? : ) All I have to say is ..I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOMEEE NEXT WEEKEND!!!! haha..

Okay everyone! I just need to apologize one more time, because I have COMPLETELY neglected to do this.

A lot of you may know that there have been some major changes recently within my life and I have not had an easy time with it. Basically, I am just trying to start over new with a lot in my life and become a better person over all and just start out with a fresh and brand new year altogether! : )

Sooo... what's new you ask!?!? Well COLLEGE! This semester at college is 100% better than the first one! Mainly this is because I actually have friends this semester and I stay here on the weekends! & hey who would think that I would have actually liked it!? There is so much to tell, but I think most people would rather see things visually rather than read a whole novel on what's been going on. So here's a few pictures of me & my new friends here at college & just different pictures of what I've been up to!

So, as you can see, a lot has been going on in my life lately and there have been a lot of changes. I'm not quite sure if these changes are good or bad yet, but I guess all I can keep telling myself is that God has a perfect plan for me and I just need to trust his judgement on everything bad or good that happens within my life. & I hate to say it but I REALLY HATE change.. so I hope there is a wonderful outcome to everything that has been happening lately!

It's that time of the year!

Hey everyone!

I'd definitely just like to say sorry for such a long time without doing any posts.. I have had a rough last few months! LOTS has happened and sadly to say not much of it was good news. But anyways I'll try to start keeping up better, but it is just that busy time of year & also my *FAVORTE* time of year too! CHRISTMAS! =] There is only 6 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! & I am SO excited!

I will make a new post sometime soon and give details to what i've been up to over my break and everything!

Stupid snow!

Ah.. so today Cahl was SUPPOSED to come up to Laramie and see me. But I am really bummed because the freeway is closed and he cannot make it. I have been hoping for the best all day and so far nothing extrodenary has happened.. but I will stay positive. I am really hoping he can make it down tomorrow morning with no problems! Oh pleasseee! :)

ANYWAYS..
last weekend..
I am sad to say I don't really have any pictures.. (my camera is still and going to be broken until i get a new one which is who knows when). However, it was a really great weekend! Too short though!

Friday Pj and I drove to Evanston and it was a nice drive the sky was clear and i loved it (was hoping it would stay for this weekend too.. blah!). Once we got home I immidiately got to see Cahl. I was soo excited! We decided that Friday night would be my families night and Saturday would be his families night (they always fight over who gets to see me). Haha.. So Friday night wasn't really anything special we just kind of hungout with the family and had some dinner and also went and got some movies to watch!

Saturday was the great day though. The only downside to Saturday was that I woke up sick =/ so, I felt pretty horrid all day, but other than that it was amazing. This was because I went with Cahl's family down to Utah to a snowmobile expo! It got me really excited for Cahl's races and also just to go snowmobiling (one of my most favorite if not my most favorite winter activity). We looked around the expo for a while but I do have to say that the best part was seeing Carrera for the first time since she was in ..what... 6TH GRADE!! It was so neat to see her and Carson and his whole family! Especially Robyn.. I had really missed her! I didn't really get to see them long but it was still really fun just to see everyone. Once we started really looking around Cindy did her usual thing and started buying me EVERYTHING! She loves me too much I think ha ha. :) Once the expo ended we went to coalville and ate some delicious dinner!
Later that night I went out and stayed at Cahl's .. we watched scary movies and talked and had a great time. I just love spending time with him out at his house.. it's my favorite place to be!

Well, I guess you could say this pretty much sums up my weekend.. Sunday was a drag like always.. me and Carrera call them our "depressing Sundays" because we miss our boys so much! I guess all there is to say now is that I just really hope for the best of the weather and the roads tomorrow so I can have something extra exciting to write about my Halloween weekend! :)

Fall Break!

So, for all those of you that actually got a fall break.. I'M HAPPY FOR YOU! Because I most certainly did NOT! However, even though I didn't get a break, it was still a great weekend! Cahl was supposed to be gone all weekend hunting, but he ended up getting an elk Friday before I even got home! So, I got to see him all weekend!

Once I got home Cahl and I hung out at his house and hung out with some friends that were in town. My favorite part of the night is when we just laid on the couch and watched the Proposal. We fell asleep and this is what I woke up to!

Cahl & his doggy Holly asleep on the couch! She will snuggle with anyone who will make room for her! :) Anyways.. Saturday Cahl's aunt invited us to go down to Frightmares and we decided to take them up on the offer since some of our other friends invited us also! The ride down was a lot of fun taking pictures with Cahl and Pj and the ugly glasses! Ha ha.. So was Lagoon!

Ps.. i dyed my hair back to dark again! :)

So overall it was a great weekend other than the gloomy Sunday of leaving him. :( I will get to see him again next weekend though if the weather is good so that's my big hope this week!
